- How do I get started?
Simply create a profile and you can start sending vehicle service requests right away. Select the category that best matches your needs and provide key details so you receive accurate bids.
- What happens once I post a service request for an estimate?
Your request is sent to local auto professionals who match the job type. Interested pros will post bids, and your request expires after 1, 3, or 5 hours — depending on your selected preference.
- Will I get a bunch of phone calls from interested professionals?
No. Local pros do not receive your phone number until you select their bid. Until then, all communication is handled within the Mobile Mechanic Bids platform.
- How should I go about choosing amongst the bids I receive?
Each service request is unique and what matters for one request will not matter as much if at all for another. We encourage all of our users to take a look at each professional’s profile that provides a bid. This step is essential in making sure that your potential selection has the right qualifications that you want in your auto professional such as up to date certifications and/or images of prior work.
Cancellations & Refunds
- Can I cancel a job request after submitting it?
Yes, you can cancel at any time before a provider accepts. However, cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled time may be subject to cancellation fees, depending on the provider’s custom terms.
- Are there cancellation fees for customers?
Possibly. Some providers include their own cancellation terms (e.g., “50% fee if canceled within 12 hours”). These terms are included in their bid, and by accepting it, you agree to them.
- Does Mobile Mechanic Bids guarantee the quality of services?
We vet the service professionals, but cannot guarantee the quality of service. Always review the provider’s profile and feedback before hiring.
- How do refunds work?
Refunds may be issued only in cases of verified service failure or fraud, and are reviewed individually. Payments go directly to the service professional, so refunds aren’t guaranteed unless a dispute is resolved in your favor. View our Refund Policy
Disputes & Problems
- What if I have a problem with a service?
First, try contacting the service professional to resolve the issue directly. If that fails, you can submit a dispute within 3 days of job completion, and we will review the case and respond in good faith. Note: Mobile Mechanic Bids does not guarantee refunds or outcomes.
- How do I submit a dispute?
Log into your account, go to “My Requests,” choose the relevant job, and click “Report an Issue.” Describe the problem and provide any documentation.
Payments
- How do I pay service professionals?
After choosing a pro, you may pay through MobileMechanicBids.com or directly, depending on what the provider accepts. Some only accept payments through the platform. Users are encouraged to follow-up on how payment is collected with their chosen professional.
